Grigio Silverstone w/ Nero Daytona Racing Livery
HISTORY
From the first time since the F40 ceased production in 1992, a turbocharged V8 engine would be used as a powerplant for a mid-engined Ferrari with the 488 GTB. The road/track version of the GTB, the Pista, was introduced in the spring of 2018, successing the Speciale, Scuderia, and Challenge Stradale. A few months after its release, the convertible version made its appearance, called Pista Spider. The Pista Spider made use of an engine directly derived from the 488 Challenge, with a lightweight crankshaft, titanium connecting rods, revised camshafts, and lighter turbocharger internals, outputting a total of 710 horsepower.The engine wasn’t the only enhanced part, in fact even the transmission received a special treatment, speeding up the gearshifts to just 30 milliseconds. The bodywork was redesigned in favour of the aerdoynamics, generating 20% more downforce than the standard 488. Going through Ferrari’s weight-loss program meant the 488 Pista Spider only weighted 1,380kg, around 40 kilos lighter than the 488 Spider.
OUR PISTA SPIDER
The example on offer was delivered through Gohm Singen in November 2020 to its first owner from Switzerland. Finished in the attractive color combination of Grigio Silverstone with extended racing livery in Nero Daytona and Nero Alcantara interior. Every single carbon fiber option was selected on the order sheet, finishing off the build with Grigio Chiaro stitching in the interior, and making this one of the best looking Pista Spiders we have ever seen. On German papers and located here with us in Germany, the odometer shows 6,000km from new. Option list:
