Wij bieden te koop aan deze prachtige en zeer bijzondere Ford Capri 2600 GT XLR uit 1972. De XLR uitvoering was destijds de meest complete en luxe uitgevoerde Capri GT met een indrukwekkende lijst aan opties. Er is geen luxere uitvoering van de Ford Capri geleverd dan dit model. De Ford is uitvoerig gerestaureerd en verkeert in een zeer goede staat. Hij wordt aangedreven door een 2600cc V6 motor met carburateurs en zeldzame (optionele) automatische versnellingsbak. Hij is tevens uitgerust met schijfremmen voor die zorgen voor een zeer prettige rijervaring.
Zoals u op de foto’s kunt zien is dit alles behalve een standaard Ford Capri 2600 GT. Aangezien het een XLR uitvoering is (Luxury/Rally Pack) beschikt deze auto over iedere optie die destijds beschikbaar was op de Ford Capri. Zo is hij uitgerust met originele af-fabriek airconditioning, wat erg zeldzaam is op een Europese auto uit de jaren 70. Andere opties bestaan onder andere uit extra chromen sierstrips, achteruitrijlampen, richtingaanwijzers in de grille en dubbele koplampen. Extensively restored Ford Capri 2600 GT XLR
We offer for sale this beautiful and very special Ford Capri 2600 GT XLR from 1972. At the time, the XLR version was the most complete and luxurious Capri GT with an impressive list of options. There is no more luxurious version of the Ford Capri than this model. The Ford has been extensively restored and is in very good condition. It is powered by a 2600cc V6 engine with carburettors and a rare (optional) automatic gearbox. It is also equipped with front disc brakes that provide a very pleasant driving experience.
As you can see in the photos, this is anything but a standard Ford Capri 2600 GT. Since it is an XLR version (Luxury/Rally Pack) this car has every option that was available on the Ford Capri at the time. For example, it is equipped with original factory air conditioning, which is very rare on a European car from the 1970s. Other options include extra chrome trim, reversing lamps, indicators in the grille and twin headlights. To complete the sporty look, a beautiful gold-coloured paint with a characteristic black hood was chosen. This Capri is also equipped with RS rims that look a bit tougher than the standard rims. The interior is in very good condition and is equipped with an RS sports steering wheel, dashboard with wood inlay and 6 counters, a center console with clock, radio and luxurious upholstery with armrest at the rear.
